National Insurance Services Headquarters
The National Insurance Services Headquarters building consists of four storeys providing office space and an international conference centre. The foundations are constructed of reinforced concrete spread footings and strip footings, all structurally integrated with reinforced concrete tie beams.
There are two reinforced concrete lift shafts (1 passenger lift and 1 goods lift) and two main stair wells. The remaining structural frame consists of structural steel columns and beams (Grade 43 steel). External walls are a combination of in-situ reinforced concrete and reinforced concrete block masonry.
Floor Slabs are in-situ reinforced concrete on permanent steel decking.
Scheduled completion date: September 2006
Construction cost: US$5,000,000.
